i was asked to produce another masculine-looking card the other day and i gave myself a challenge... turn this card around and make it look feminine, using the same color-scheme.
that's what i came up with. the Bravo Burgundy was a perfect companion for the masculine card when paired with a Basic Black Grosgrain ribbon...
but when you switch the ribbon for a Bravo Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon and tie a bow...
... you suddenly have a feminine card. not every women i know are into pinks and such...
a simple black rhinestone added to a die-cut frame and some sponged ink make it even more masculine. notice that i left the age blank because it's not going to anyone in specific (i've already given another one like that to my customer).
and look what happens when you choose a slightly different die-cut, add some pearls and a more cursive sentiment... very feminine. all sentiments are from the Stampin' Up!'s On Your Birthday Stamp Set which is really becoming my go-to birthday sentiments set.
challenge yourself; you'll be surprised at what you come up!
well, i'm off golfing today at our annual benefit tourney for the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. i hope we can raise a lot of money for it. oh, and wish me luck... i'm a terrible golfer :-)
have a great day! CeeCee
