it's nearing the end and i'm stretching it out. i so enjoying making these illustrations. i take my time, trying to create some interesting backgrounds. that's a big part of the fun. i love spending hours on a project. i know this is not for everybody but i am truly indulging myself here and i hope you won't mind it.
so day 10. i used water-based markers for the first layer of coloring. mine are not getting enough love, being replaced by alcohol-based markers. so i dusted them off. i was going to use my Distress Markers but most of them have dried off! my good old Stampin' Up! ons i've had for double the time? as good as new! and my Tombow's too. it's really a shame to pay so much money for markers only to be going to waste. but i digress... LOL
i added shading and highlights with colored pencils, a mix of Prismacolor and Faber-Castell (Polychromos). the background took a while of course but my main source of fun.
