i had one major item on my to-do list today: taking down the christmas decorations. i am now proud to say that i've accomplished my mission! another item that i keep dragging on my list is inventorying and organizing my stamp collection. i have been putting it off since i decided to change my original system, which looked like this:
i started it by stamping and inventorying while cross-referencing in regular binders but the darn things were way too heavy and i wanted something that i could pull out from my shelves and open easily to accommodate my small crafting space. i found the answer with these:
of course these are the mini binders that everyone is looking for (seasonal items at staples) but i had the brilliant idea of buying all the ones i needed for this project while they were still available. boy, am i glad i did so!
so now i'm in the process of removing everything from the big binders and transferring everything into mini binders (yeah... i need to cut and paste and photocopy to fit the smaller binders. it's a long and arduous process but i feel that this is the biggest job i'll ever have to tackle in my craft room and i'm just going to keep doing it until i'm done! i've pushed aside other projects to do that but it's a necessary evil because i can't function in this chaos anymore. i don't know half of my stamp collection! then i'll be able to play and put my beloved stamps to good use. so just be patient with me while i finish this. i promise to document my journey on video.
