sometimes you get your hands on a product and it invades your creative space or mojo or whatever you want to call it. i got to play with the Poinsettias embossing folder by Tim Holtz' Alterations last week and i fell in love... once again. the embossing folder matches with the new Tattered Poinsettia die and oh boy the fun i had. i couldn't stop making them.
here they are:
this one was created with the same pattern paper you see in the background
that one is my favorite. i also used the same background paper for the poinsettia and the tiny reindeer pattern makes the poinsettia even more real with spots of brown. i love it! the crystal in the middle is from a Sparklets pack (coral) by kaisercraft.
this one is more tradional but i like it as well.
this one to me looks unbalanced but by the time i realized it the picture was taken (isn't that weired?!). it would have looked better had i stamped the sentiment in the upper left corner or cut a it smaller, maybe on the left side. oh well.
the burgundy-ish paper i used for this poinsettia is from the Just Believe collection by American Crafts.
you can click on the photos to view them in high resolution.
all the products you see here are available at Scrapbook Centrale, if you are in the Montreal region.
the sentiment is also from one of Tim Holtz' stamps: "Mini Holidays 3" - love that set!
have you made your christmas cards yet? If so, are you using one specific theme? i'ld love to know :-)
have a happy and creative day! CeeCee
