Yesterday, I learned a new coloring technique and I couldn't wait to share it with you! There has been a lot of talk about the Copic markers and how they are rare to find in Montreal. Well, have no fear because there is a solution if you don't have Copics but would like to get that vibrant color effect. Yes! Using Stampin' Up!'s markers, watercolor paper and an Aqua Painter. And it is soooooooo much fun. I am addicted! This card uses a sketch by Jen at 1heart2stamp.com.
Here's how it works: you stamp your image using Jet Black StazOn ink on watercolor paper. Then you start adding your color with a Stampin' Write of your choice and blending the pigment with the Aqua Painter. It's amazing how easy it is. I suggest starting by using a light color, then going darker. You can also take some of the color away if you feel that you have gone too dark by rubbing the area with your Aqua Painter then drying it on a absorbent paper or your fingers. If you would like to find out more about this technique, let me know. I would be more than happy to put together a workshop for you and at least 3 of your friends.
